Skills
I wrote ideas are more important than execution in April 2024 and people fought me. There was no Claude Code then. Was I right? Follow me for stock tips.
This morning I received this newsletter from Michael Karnjanaprakorn.

In the olden days we had things like MVC. The model-view-controller pattern while designing apps.
The business logic would go in the model layer. We would write a whole bunch of code and if-then-elses and case-whens that explained how something should work.
In the olden days.
Today, AI is writing this type of code. Claude Code in Ralph Wiggum mode. "While you sleep" as folks say.
But the reality is we don't need this to be written in code anymore.
How something should work can be explained in a skills file and the LLM can read this file, reason and do the thing.
This is my skills file in Arca for tracking my exercises with a personal AI. The LLM reads the skills file and queries my private data in Arca based on the logic layer in the skills file.

And this is why apps will die along with the idea of vibe coding.
Happy Friday!
